Overview
You’ll begin by meeting at Wonderful Tours office. The day will start with a 15km ride to the first cave, Tham Xang (Elephant Cave). The cave lies on the banks of the Nam Song River. It is an important Buddhist temple and owes its name to a remarkable limestone formation. Your guide will tell you the history of this charming cave and temple, from thousands of years ago to tales of recent decades. You will then pass through a small Lao farm and village with green rice fields. Afterwards, you will have the chance to swim in the clear and cool spring water that lies at the mouth of Tham Nam (Water Cave), where you can go tubing up to 500 meters inside the cave. The tubing is then followed by a free BBQ lunch beside Tham Nam (Water Cave). We will walk 30 minutes back to a village where you’ll be picked up to begin tubing. We will drive about 10 minutes to Ban Phou Din Daeng, 4 km north of Vang Vieng where we will start tubing. Our tour guide will explain to you how to control and paddle your tube on the river. Our tour guide will keep the bags and food in the kayak and leads you downstream to the zip line at Tham None. We will take a short trek up to the view point on the top of Phar None (sleeping wall) to have a rest and enjoy taking picture of the beautiful scenery around Phar None while your tour guide is making your BBQ lunch. Enjoy our wonderful lunch and fresh fruits in a small hut near the river bank. After that, our guide will teach you some safety instructions about zip lining before flying about 1200 meters long over the forest (6 lines 1 bridge). We will continue tubing about 2km downstream back to Vang Vieng before the sunset.
