We love to offer you jungle trekking to local domestic communities that surround Luang Prabang. This trip includes a visit to hill tribe villages. You will learn their way of living and you will also learn a lot of their local culture. In this tour, you'll camp in tents or stay in local homes in far away mountains. We'll visit places with fresh air and we'll see stunning sunsets. We will also make local food together over a fire.
We start this trip in the morning at 9am. We drive you out of Luang Prabang by van, about 1 hour. Then we'll take a boat up the Mekong River, about 15 minutes to Ban Kok and Ban Muang Kea villages. We can see how they make whiskey from rice. After that, we'll start trekking up a mountain about 4 hours. We will reach a rice farm where we'll sleep overnight. We'll have picnic lunch somewhere along the trekking. After a short rest at the rice farm, we'll see the sunset and now it is time to prepare food in a local way.
Next day, we'll continue trekking up to the top of the mountain, where you'll have a fantastic view over the rivers of Ou and Mekong. After we have come down from the villages, we will do bamboo rafting or kayaking on the Nam Ou and Mekong river where you can see nice view and see local people fishing along the river and learn about their life who live near by the river.
