Day 1


Pakse - Bolaven

8AM - 9AM: First stop at Ban Blacksmith, where traditional agriculture tools are manufactured following secular craft procedures. This village comprises various small family-run factories that produce anything from a jungle knife to a machete. The various road-side stalls expose lots of knives from different shapes and prices.
Note: No activity on Buddha day or on public holidays. 

9AM - 11AM: Then we will head to CPC factory to learn how the coffee is pulped, fermented, washed, dried and packed in bags for exportation. (24 km from Pakse)

1PM - 3PM: We will continue to a small local coffee plantation where a specialized guide will teach you all about coffee, from the seed to the cup. You will walk softly in the fields, and you will learn the customs of the Katu people and all their medicinal plants in the bush.

3PM - 5PM: Tad Hang and Tad Lo waterfall, wonderful preserved natural site will be our next stop. Before reaching the waterfall, we have to cross a wooden bridge situated in an enchanting environment. The dense vegetation and the calm that reign over this place will amaze you. (25km)
Note: Time for the elephants bathing show in the river at Tad Lo waterfall (16h00 – 16h30).

Day 2


Bolaven - Pakse

8AM - 9AM: After breakfast, we will head to the village of Bane
Kokphung Tai. An Animistic group, they sacrifice buffaloes, on the full moon of March, to the spirits which protect the villagers. Young children start smoking medicinal tobacco in a bamboo tube as young as 5 years of age.

12PM: Enjoy your lunch at Tad Yuang waterfall.

1PM - 2PM: Coffee and tea plantation at Mrs. South’s Tea Shop where we will get to know all the subtleties of smoking and drying tea, and tea tasting. Coffee, tea, pepper, cinnamon and other many local products are available at this very family atmosphere (1km from Tad Yuang and Tad Fane).

2PM - 4PM: Continue to Tad Fane, one of the most spectacular twin waterfalls in Laos. It is located in the protected area of Dong Hua Sao (NBCA). Tad Fane waterfall at approximately 400 feet tall, the fall is splendid, and comprised of two watercourses that come together before flowing from the crest to the pool.

Last stop of this tour will be Tad Etu waterfall. The waterfall can be reached over a small and steam path and stairs. The small pools at its bottom invites with some refreshing swimming opportunities. (5km)
