Day 1

Overview

Pakse – Champasak – Vat Phou

After meeting at Sinouk Coffee House in the central of Pakse at 9.30a.m., you will board The Vat Phou boat with a welcome drink for 2.5 hour journey to Champasak. A set menu lunch is served before reaching The Post office pier. The highlight in the afternoon is to take a local transportation to visit Vat Phou ruins; the majestic pre-Angkorian 10th century temple complex and to visit a museum at the ruins site. You are transferred back to the boat to enjoy the tropical sunset on the deck. A set menu dinner is served on board and the boat docks for a night at Ban Muang.

Day 2

Overview

Khong Island

The boat leaves at 6a.m. and a continental breakfast is served on board from 7a.m. The first stop is at HueiThamo village to visit a rural life and a mysterious hidden forest temple called ‘OumMuong’ (Option ). After you are back on board, the boat starts to cruise southwards passing by the wild paradise of ‘4,000 Islands’.. A set menu lunch is served on board. After lunch you can relax on the top deck to enjoy the breeze and beauty nature along the Mekong River. A set menu dinner is served on board and the boat docks for a night at Ban Deua Tia.

Day 3

Overview

Don Khone – PhaPheng Waterfall – Pakse

The boat leaves at 6a.m. and a continental breakfast is served on board from 7a.m. The boat stops at Ban Veuthong where you are transferred to a small boat to Khone Island. You will visit the old French railway and walk across a bridge which links Khone Island and Det Island, there you will be visiting Liphi. After that, you are transferred to the mainland by small boat. A bus transfers you to Khone PhaPheng waterfall as known as ‘The Niagara of The East’ where you will have lunch at local restaurant, after you will be transfer back to Pakse by our bus.
