Ban Keo village is located about 9km from Ban Nathang. This ethnic Khmu village of about 64 houses overlooks the Nam Poui river and is at the end of the road, but is the hub of most of the 1000 Caves Area’s activities. The villagers here have organized their own homestay service and caving guide association. These service groups have arranged their own pricing and revenue distribution as a form of community-based tourism.
