The 7th edition of Run for Children: Luang Prabang Half Marathon is a charity race for the Lao Friends Hospital for Children. The hospital provides free medical care and health education for all Lao children and treats over 20,000 children a year, which addresses a pressing need created by poor infrastructure, mountainous terrain and widespread poverty.
All the proceeds from the race go directly towards supporting patient care. Visitors can also choose to participate in the run through Luang Prabang. Whether you choose the 7km, 14km or 21km route, you can concurrently appreciate the scenic views and important cultural monuments in the UNESCO town.
