Boun Visakhaboucha is a Buddhist festival that falls usually on the full moon day of the sixth lunar month. It is a very significant event as it marks the day where Lord Buddha is born, enlighten and dies. On this auspicious day, devout Buddhists will make a visit to the temple in the early morning to gain merits.
You can also enjoy a Candlelight procession, Wien Tien, performed in some temples by Buddhists. This procession involves carrying candles, incense and lotus flowers while walking clockwise around the prayer hall three times.
