Sao Sinh is Luang Prabang’s first “rent and roam” traditional Lao clothing service, offering high-quality sinh, pha bieng, blouses, and trousers for women, men, and children of all sizes! This is a great add-on for baci ceremonies, temple visits, almsgiving, and special dinners! Sao Sinh’s shop is located in Ban Vat Sene.
“Sinh” means the traditional skirt of Laos, and “Sao” means “to rent” or “young woman”—but you don’t have to be young woman to rent our sinh or clothing! We want everyone and anyone—families, friends, children, grandparents—to be able to experience the beauty and heritage of Lao traditional clothing.
