TRASH IDOL is a community-driven environmental initiative held regularly in Luang Prabang. The event brings together volunteers to clean up the city following major celebrations, such as Lao New Year and the Boat Racing Festival.
In addition to post-event clean-ups, TRASH IDOL organizes monthly efforts where, on the last Sunday of each month, volunteers from local communities — including schools, hotels, tour operators, and individual citizens — gather to clean designated areas around Luang Prabang Town.
Our Mission:
We are committed to raising awareness about environmental issues and educating young people and local residents to inspire positive behavioral change. Our goal is to contribute to a "clean and green" Luang Prabang for current and future generations.
