Handmade Cotton Experience Workshop

Half Day

During this half day you will receive a full hands on experience onthe fibers. From the cotton plant to making thread to a finished product using indigenous tooks. Then you will have the opportunity to choose from a selection of our naturally dyed cottons to weave 2 napkins or a short scarf 160 cm.

Full Day

During this full day you will receive a full hands on experience on the fibers. From the cotton plant to making thread to a finished product using indigenouse tools. Then you will have the opportunity to choose from a selection of our naturally dyed cottons to weave 3 napkins or a long scarf 190 cm. You also have the option to make instead a short scarf with a pattern.

Visit our small village for a great learning experience with local people. Help us preserve indigenous Laotian culture for the next generation with traditional cotton weaving, hand spinning and natural dyeing. Let us show you how we make cotton accessories by hand, then you can make your own. Meet a master weaver and take a workshop to learn techniques from picking cotton to hand spinning and loom weaving. Stay with us for a taste of village life. It’s a fun, educational hands-on experience with local people.

• Our staff will demonstrate how cotton weaving are handmade, starting with cotton fibers and ending with a finished product.
• You will learn hand spinning and weaving with a local master weaver using indigenous tools.
• You will try to make their own scarf by hand.
