ຕາດແຊພະ Tad Sae Pha is 23m high and 120m wide. Situated in the Xe Pian National Protected Area, it is around 60km from Samakkhixay, the provincial capital.
Previously called “Chounlamani temple”, the (ວັດ ພະເຈົ້າໄຊຍະເສດຖາທິລາດ) Vat That Xaiyasetha was built in 1577 and is associated with king Xaysetthathirath. It is located at Vat That village, in Xaysettha District 12 km from Samakkhixay.
The ancient temple of Attapeu, the sacred Buddha image of Ongsene is one of the holiest of relics.
Located at Ban Sakhae Villagem, Xaysettha District, it is far from Attapeu town - about 23 km on the road direction to Sekong province then turn right drive on dirt road about 5km then take boat across a river to the temple.
