This three-day adventure in Nong Khiaw offers a blend of trekking, cultural experiences, and scenic river journeys. On Day 1, you'll start with a trek through a primary forest, visit a village to learn bamboo handicrafts, and stay overnight with a local family. Day 2 includes a boat ride to Ban Sopjam, a weaving village, where you can explore and purchase handmade textiles, with another overnight stay. On Day 3, you'll visit Muang Ngoi and an ancient cave, trek to a hidden waterfall for a swim, and finish with a kayaking experience on the Nam Ou river before returning to Nong Khiaw.

ITINERARY: 

• Day 1: 8:30am: Meeting point at our office in Nongkhiaw and begin your adventure with a short tuktuk or minivan ride from Nong Khiaw to the trailhead. Embark on a 5-6 hour trek through the primary forest, immersing yourself in the rich local culture and breathtaking scenery. Visit a quaint village with mixed tribes, learn bamboo handicrafts, and enjoy a delicious dinner with a test of Lao whisky. Experience authentic village life with an overnight stay in a local family's home.
• Day 2: After a hearty breakfast, 9:00am: Enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour boat ride upstream to Ban Sopjam, a charming weaving village. Marvel at the stunning views of the Nam Ou river and limestone mountains. Climb to a sunset viewpoint, then return for dinner and another overnight stay. Witness the art of textile weaving and purchase unique handmade items directly from the artisans.
• Day 3: Start your day with breakfast and a boat ride south to Muang Ngoi at 8:30am. Explore the village and an ancient cave before heading back downstream to Ban Sopkong. Trek through picturesque rice paddies and climb to a hidden jungle waterfall for a refreshing swim and lunch. Return to the river for a kayaking briefing, then paddle along the scenic Nam Ou river, observing local riverbank life. Conclude your unforgettable journey back in Nong Khiaw around 4-5 PM. Cancellation Policy

• If a reservation is cancelled or modified prior 8 days to the event date, then the full amount is refundable.
• If a reservation is cancelled or modified less than 8 days prior to the event date. 50% charge of total amount.
• If a reservation is cancelled or modified less than 3 days prior to the event date, then the full amount is charged and non-refundable.
