Luang Prabang Sweets Making Class

Join us for a hands-on experience learning how to make traditional Luang Prabang sweets from sticky rice and coconut milk, all wrapped in fragrant banana leaves. Guided by local experts, you’ll master the art of hand-scraping and squeezing fresh coconuts, cooking the sweets to perfection, and wrapping them beautifully in banana leaves.

Take home the delicious sweets you’ve created to enjoy later, or save some for offering in the morning. The class also includes refreshments and complimentary access to our historic house museum, making it a rich cultural experience.

• Learn how to make Luang Prabang Sweets from sticky rice and coconut milk based and wrapped in banana leaf.

• Our local teachers will show you how to do hand scarping and squeezing coconuts, learn how to cook the sweets and learn how to wrap sweets in banana leaf

• Take home with you the sweets that you made, you can keep some for offering in the next morning and try some

• The class includes refreshments and free entrance to visit our historic house museum

• Comfortable clothes and shoes. 

• Please arrive at the starting point (Heuan Chan Heritage Luang Prabang) at least 20 minutes before the tour starts

• Less than 3 years old is FREE.

• Less than 8 years old is a 50% charge.

• Less than 7 days prior to the date 20% of the cost will be charged 

• Less than 3 days prior to the date 50% of the cost will be charged 

• “No show” is always charged 100%
