Luang Namtha Explorer: Culture, Nature & Local Traditions

Itinerary:

• Morning: Meet at the Discovering Laos office at 9:00 am. Our first stop of the tour is at the local museum for an excellent insight into the lives and cultures of the local minority tribes. Afterwards we drive to a scenic waterfall, and visit a nearby Lantan minority village. Here we can observe the traditional techniques involved in ​bamboo paper making and the natural dying of silk fabrics, handicrafts central to Lantan culture. 
• Midday: Before continuing on to the minority villages of the Tai Dam, Tai Lue and Akha people, we stop for a tasty Lao lunch at an authentic local restaurant.
• Afternoon: At the local minority villages discover the unique methods involved in silk production and colouring with natural dyes, making of handicrafts, and alcohol distillery. After touring the local minority villages, we drive a few kilometers to a magnificent stupa with stunning panoramic views across Luang Namtha. Depending on the group’s decision, there is the option to visit another stupa and a Buddhist monastery. At around 5:00 pm the tour comes to an end and we head back to the Discovering Laos office in Luang Namtha.

• More than one month is charging 10 % of tour package prices

• Less than one month is charging 30 % of tour package prices

• One week or less is charging 50% of tour package prices
