Through a 24-hour and deeply immersive tour, the Nam Nern Night Safari aims to revolutionise tourists' relationship with local communities and nature. Because of the stringent limit on the number of tours, the National Protected Area remains a rich source of biodiversity. It is supported by the Wildlife Conservation Society.
The main attraction is an evening boat cruise, where deers, otters, porcupines, and owls are spotted regularly (wild cats and bears are also occasionally seen) - especially effective for spotting these nocturnal animals. Also included are morning tours, which seek to educate visitors of the local lifestyle and history, and an overnight stay at Lao-style bungalows in the wilderness. The tour is suitable for people of all physical conditions.
