Overview

Nong Khiaw

Day 1 of our adventure begins at 9:00 am, where a tuk-tuk will pick you up from your accommodation in Nong Khiaw. We'll embark on a scenic journey to the rice fields, located 12 km away from the town. As we arrive, we'll start our trek into the lush jungle, leaving the rice fields behind.

For approximately 3 hours, we'll venture deep into the heart of the jungle, immersing ourselves in its natural beauty. Along the way, you'll witness the diverse flora and fauna that call this place home. Our destination is Nar Luang village, where we'll experience an authentic homestay, allowing us to connect with the local community and learn about their way of life.

Day 2

Overview

On Day 2, we'll set off on foot towards Ban Phayoung, a Hmong tribe village. Our knowledgeable tour guide will enlighten us about the differences between the Lao, Khamu, and Hmong tribes, providing valuable insights into their unique cultures and traditions. We'll enjoy a delicious lunch at Ban Sop Kan, a Lao tribe village, before continuing our journey.

After lunch, we'll be picked up by a boat and taken to Muang Ngoiy. From there, we'll embark on an 8 km walk to Ban Na, another village where we'll spend the night. Ban Na offers a glimpse into a simple way of life, with no electricity or Wi-Fi. You'll have the opportunity to witness the vast rice fields surrounding the village and even learn about local cooking techniques.

Day 3

Overview

Day 3 begins with a walk to Maung Ngoiy, where we'll ascend to a viewpoint and explore a captivating cave. Afterward, we'll descend by boat to Sop Kong village. From there, we'll embark on a 1-hour walk to Tad Mok waterfall, where we'll enjoy a well-deserved lunch. Following our meal, we'll hop back on the boat and cruise downstream, taking in the scenic beauty of the river as we make our way back to Nong Khiaw.

This three-day adventure promises an immersive experience in nature, cultural encounters with different tribes, and the opportunity to witness the simplicity of rural life. Join us on this unforgettable journey through the jungles and villages of Nong Khiaw, Laos.
